Inside the Supreme Court Chambers This Afternoon...
I can't reveal my source on this, but trust me...we have bugs everywhere. I know everyone's curious about what's going on with this birth certificate nonsense, so here's some of the conversation in the chambers:

Chief Justice Roberts: All right. Settle down, you lot. Now, who the heck brought this natural born citizen nonsense into this discussion?

Justice Souter: Well, it wasn't me, for Pete's sake. I dumped it immediately.

Justice Breyer: It was Clarence. I saw his name on it.

Justice Kennedy: Clarence! What do you have to say for yourself? We can't grant certiorari on this idiotic thing. What on Earth were you thinking?

Justice Alito: Right! And now we have a bunch of wackos on the steps praying and chanting. And it's not just the pro-lifers this time. There must be almost a dozen of them out there.

Justice Stevens: What about you, Ruth? What do you think of this nonsense Clarence has saddled us with?

Justice Ginsburg: Wha...erm...did I nod off again? Sorry. My bad.

Justice Scalia: We're waiting, Clarence. What's your explanation for this?

Justice Thomas: Well...I was in a hurry to get out of the office and didn't really read it. It was something about Obama and Kenya or something like that. I just didn't have time, so I put it in the wrong pile. Let's just kill it and get on with business, OK. I mean...it's not like you guys haven't screwed up a time or two.

1. I don't think the last two lines are correct
I'd have put them this way:

Justice Thomas: Well...I was in a hurry to get out of the office and didn't really read it. It was something about Osama and Kenya or something like that. I just didn't have time, so I put it in the wrong pile. Let's just kill it and get on with business, OK. I mean...it's not like you guys haven't screwed up a time or two.

Justice Scalia: Oh, come on, fellas, it's got to be worth a shot to get rid of this guy.
