How about some help on a local poll?

bottom of page. Here are the results so far.

What do you think about President-elect Barack Obama's cabinet picks?

For a president to run on a campaign of change, it's interesting he has a cabinet of many former Clinton associates. That's not change.

He's doing a good job. It's smart of him to pick people who have knowledge and experience.

It sounds like he is listening to a broad range of people and going across party lines, which is encouraging.

1. Mine being the 247th vote
I think that P.E. Obama is making good choices. The Clinton years were the best years of my 60 damn near 61 years. Obama will not take any shit from anyone especially someone in his cabinet. The man did not get where he is by making bad decisions. Leave him the fuck alone, is what I say, and let him do the work that will be required to turn this thing around before its too late. dm

2. They split the positive vote so it would never be as high as the negative vote.
It's a common poll trick to manipulate the results. If you ask a question and give only 3 options where you have to choose one, then give almost identical answers for 2 of them, then the third one will always be on top.

It's like asking in a poll: Do you think President Elect Obama is doing a good job?
Choose one:
No
Yes
Yes

They must think we are pretty dumb.

3. Biased poll
With two choices to pick from for people with a positive view of Obama's job so far but anyone inclined to be anti has but one choice.

The anti-Obama vote is bound to be higher than either of the other two.
