Al Franken now has the lead in the contested race.
I just recieved an email from Franken's group saying that Al is now ahead by 10 votes. Yippee!!

3. MN Sec'y of State has Franken up by more than 11K as of last night

I'm not sure why there's such a disparity in the various reports but that's the last official word.

5. Different ways to calculate.
The SOS website has the raw recount numbers, excluding Challenged Ballots.

The Star Tribune uses changes in precinct totals, and excludes Challenged Ballots.

The Franken campaign is counting the ruling of local election officials before a ballot is challenged.

I don't see how a court could say:

OK, 2028 people signed in. 2028 votes were recorded. Now we have 133 less and we'll go with that total instead.

It really looks like ballots were lost and the original count there is right. It's not like a case where ballots that were found later were added later. These are ballots that were just lost but that doesn't mean the votes never happened.

My guess is that a vigilante destroyed them.
