| 2 issues never mentioned about Iraq |
|
1. Who will win out? Iraq's wish to nationalize their own oil or the multi-national corporations and their desire for foreign ownership/lease??
2. How will the Sunni, Shia, and Kurds share oil revenues and live in peace?
These issues are very important yet do you ever hear them discussed on the mainstream media?

because propping up the multinationals in that region will simply become prohibitively expensive at some point. It doesn't matter what the paper says or who signs it. Nationalization is simply inevitable.
As for how the country will shape itself, whether it will split or stay whole, that depends entirely on the people who live there. They did develop a slight sense of identity as Iraqis under Saddam, as much as they hated his guts. That might be enough to unite them, or it might not.
It's just not our job to determine the outcome in either case. Trying to do so will bankrupt us as we murder them.

| 2. Really why is it any of our business? |

We are talking about the oldest civilization on earth, over six thousand years old. America is what 225 years old? Don't you think it is just a little bit presumptious for us to dictate how they are going to live?
