Hooray, Fucking Freepers Happy In Georgia
http://www.ajc.com/metro/content/metro/stories/2008/12/03/chambliss_senate_gop.html?cxntlid=homepage_tab_newstab

Hours after his Tuesday night runoff win against Democrat Jim Martin, Chambliss said his decisive win in the nationally watched election proves that voters still support the Reagan mantras of “smaller government, fiscal responsibility, more individual rights and lower taxes.”

The economy in GA is in a shambles. When these fucktards lose their jobs and cannot get unemployment benefits, will they still be happy?

Probably.

2. My coworkers, in heavy, heavy conservo area
ar taking this as a sign that conservatism is alive and well, and that GA supports, as the AJC sez, "conservative family values".

4. The simple fact is that a majority of Georgia is backassward and racist
This trend is changing with time, and a growing minority of good, clearheaded people also live there, but for now, the dominant political culture in that state is racist and backassward.

7. And they're proud of it, too.
No plans to visit my family there any time soon. I could barely stomach the TG phone call.

8. Bullshit. The republicans here aren't any more racist and backassward than anywhere else.
There are just more of them.

Remember when everyone was praying for rain last year? I hope they adopt an effective water program.

9. Not to mention the brewing battle between Sonny Perdue and retired university system employees.
One of my right-wing cousins is a retired department head from Clayton State (or whatever they call it now), and he and a bunch of others descended on the Georgia state house a couple of weeks ago. They have the legislators quaking in their brogans. But they are especially pissed at Perdue. Sonny-boy is no friend of education. Past, present, and future.

Seems Sonny-boy is pushing for freezes and roll-backs in the University System of Georgia retirement benefits, and my cuz says the lege was backing him. My dad is affected to, but at 88 he is too old to do much more than raise hell on the phone (which he does quite well).

A related story appears in today's AJC: Georgia colleges looking at fee hikes, steeper cuts

10. Hey you made me think of a good idea. For any state that went red
they will not take advantage of any good things that come to pass
under Obama. No health care help - no new jobs. Except anything
that helps the very young and the very old.

12. I'm sure you don't mean this
there are plenty of us here who worked on the Obama campaign every day for 6 months, battled with racist pigs who threatened our lives, and registered voters in 103 degree heat for hours. We could sure use some free health care, even though we have the bad judgment to have moved here.

No free health care for us because we live around assholes? Isn't that enough punishment???? And after all, somebody's got to do it, or the place turns into a cesspool.

15. Yes, it IS enough punishment
being around them and their stupidty, although I can understand the urge to close the stupid out from anything good that does come our way in GA. But, I live here too and want change.

16. Laura, my husband, daughter, and I
worked for the Obama campaign. We live in Atlanta. We went door to door in our very red suburb. Progress is being made here. Slowly. Don't paint us all with the same brush. My son, a Marine with 3 tours to Iraq, voted for Obama. Try to show us the respect and compassion we Blue Georgians need and deserve.

11. Georgian's will reap what they sow......
...I feel sorry for the people who didn't vote for Chambliss and are going to have to live with his broken economy and faulty leadership... through no fault of their own.

14. yeah, well
he already killed a bunch of people through greed and when he can be pulled of the golf course to vote on anything, he takes away vets rights. so people here are already reaping what they sow, they just don't get it.
