4. Of course he did.
First it was Clinton's fault, now it's Obama's. Repukes never, never, never EVER take responsibility for their actions. It's ALWAYS someone else's fault.

5. Assuming that fantasy is even REMOTELY true
What, exactly, did the Chimpenfuhrer do to end it?

And last time I checked, he's STILL the pResident. Why isn't he doing what he did THE LAST TIME (whatever the Hell THAT is)?

C'mon, Chimpy! We're talking LEGACY here.

You can go down in history as the GREATEST financial genius in history, or confirm what we've suspected from the beginning - you haven't got a fucking clue what to do.

8. Never mind that fact that shrub and cheney were running around the country in '00
talking down the economy and never mind that fact that the economy was still growing in 2001 albeit at a slower rate, but still growing. Never mind that fact that the repugs controlled Congress from '94 through '06 with a brief respite after Sen Jeffords left the party. And never mind that fact that these repug liars said that the good economy under Clinton was a result of reaganomics. How many economic downturn have we suffered under bu$hco?

9. Sean needs a new talking point
No one is paying ANY attention to his daily droning about Obama's "associations." He's now on to the "Obama Recession." :wtf:

Sean has a really fat head and teeny-weeny brain inside it ... makes it hard for him to grasp things like "history" and "facts" and "evidence."

And did I mention that he's really, really whiny???

12. Hannity, eat this...
Business Week: Inventing The "Clinton Recession"…The CEA's Economic Report of the President, released Feb. 9, unilaterally changed the start date of the last recession to benefit Bush's reelection bid. Instead of using the accepted start date of March, 2001, the CEA announced that the recession really started in the fourth quarter of 2000 -- a shift that would make it much more credible for the Bush Administration to term it the "Clinton Recession."

http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/04_08/b3871044.htm

According to the National Bureau of Economic Research, the private, nonpartisan research group responsible for tracking the official peaks and troughs of the U.S. economy, the economy began to contract in March of 2001, two months after Bush was inaugurated; the recession marked the end of the longest period of economic expansion in U.S. history. Under Clinton, in 1999 alone more than 3 million new jobs were added to the economy. In 2000, the year in which Rob Portman says the country was "spiraling into recession," almost two million new jobs were created in America. Most would consider those numbers a fairly robust inheritance.

13. Here's how it works for the right wing talkies.
On W: "The president doesn't really do much to affect the economy. He inherited this recession from the Clinton years, you know."

On Obama, as early as January 21st, 2009: "Why isn't the president doing more to fix the economy? He made this mess, and he's not fixing it!"

14. There Was No Recession
Back in 2001 they were using loose and non-classical description of what constituted a "sort of" recession.

Then, from 2003-2008 they explicitly stated that none of those things mattered and that because there weren't 2 straight quarters of negative real growth, that there was no recession under them. This despite the fact that EVERY SINGLE ONE of the indicators they used in 2001 to say Silverspoon inherited a recession(?) was far worse during the 6 Bush years than what he inherited.

By no reasonable definition, especially the classical one, was there a recession in 2001. By many reasonable definitions, we've been in one for at least 4 years. By even the most classical definition we're in one now.

There is not one shred of data to support what these idiots are saying.

Everything is worse now than it was when this mob took over the WH.
