Creating the next generation of Stepford Wives: The Revolve Tour
Last summer the "Woman of Faith" tour came to Portland drawing about 6,000. I cringed a bit wondering just what rw crap they were being fed.

This past week-end in Portland, the "Revolve, Girls of Faith" (a subsidiary of 'Women of Faith') tour hit town. Now I feel more than a cringe, I feel sad & mad. So I began googling to try to figure out who they were and what they were preaching. Their website to the 'Revolve Tour' (and is that some stupid play on 'evolve'?) gives no meaningful information, just hype and propaganda. So I google a bit more and end up with the guy responsible for the entire 'Women of Faith', and I found Steve Arterburn to be their guy.

Here's a link that I found expressing his view of the US and God & America(click on the link"One Nation Under God"):
http://www.newlife.com/
It's all snoozer stuff, but at about the 6 minute mark he begins to reveal his agenda, and at the 9 minute mark he gets really ramped up into patriotism = god.

This shit is upsetting to me, that they are taking advantage of and brainwashing whatever vulnerable young females that they can find. Busses of young women were shipped into that event, many of them underprivileged. The cheapest seats went for $60, yet local churches shipped in young women by the vans full.

Check out you tube and google. There is practically no information on these people and their agenda, just raw-raw propaganda.

If your children come home from school and talk about wanting to go to this mess, please do some research before you let them go.

2. that sounds like a female version of "The Promise Keepers" which imo is a pretty creepy
org. If you ever see a "I Love my wife" bumpersticker on a car than you know that's a member of that group and they probably did something wrong.

3. That's pretty much what I took from their spiel
"Girls, guys only want you for one thing, and your only value is to deny them." IOW, boys will be boys...

4. I have problems with him

And here's why:

The man has a 'ministry' for men and their struggles with lust and porn, trying to save marriages...yet he himself has been DIVORCED TWICE and is on his THIRD marriage.

Some may argue that this makes him qualified in his area of expertise; I say it makes him a hypocrite.

Go to Amazon.com, look up "Every Man's Battle," and read the first page or two from chapter 1. The guy wrecked his Mercedes checking out a blonde woman jogging, and he goes into an AWFUL LOT of DETAIL describing the incident....

It sounds like he wants to create more Stepford Babes in the Sarah Palin mold for 'Christian' men to lust after, IMHO.

5. Nasty faux serenity, like the moonies
or hare krishnas. There is also a growing movement afoot to remove women's voting rights & instead have "household sufferage". Along with Sarah's spirit-warriors spirit mapping & attacking spirits of the land, or 'territorial demons', there's also pre-emptive wife spanking, with a rod you can buy at a bible bookstore & whole books about how the husband is the god of the household-pardon me, like Jesus is head of the church :sarcasm: If I say it the first way that would be equating the husband with Baal, & as you may know there are some fundies who have 'divorced' Baal-which is merely a title meaning Lord. Those Fish.....I never know what madness they'll dream up next.
