Check out this crazy ad!
Edited on Sat Nov-22-08 01:21 PM by Caroleeena

This ad was on Crooks and Liars today. Is this supposed to make me want to switch phone companies? It sooooo doesn't. Are they implying that Lieberman switched parties for reliable service AND reliable values? Or that he should switch parties? Or what? I don't get it. Credo says in their advertisement that they've been a loyal supporter of progressive causes since 1985 but they post a picture of Lieberman on their ad. I am sitting here scratching my head.

1. It's a bad ad
Credo, as far as I know, is not promoting Joe as a good thing. I think they are making a tongue in cheek comment about Joe switching parties so often. But, still a bad ad.

People are talking about their ad on a message board.
Mission accomplished.

2. The point
is to make you think about and remember the ad. You've not only done that, but you've given it even more visibility, asking others to think about the ad.

Regarding the ad's message, maybe they're implying CT should pick a new Senator?

4. I like that interpretation best!
I do think it's a bad ad though. It might make me talk about the company but not in a good way. I wouldn't support a company that I thought was supporting Joe Lieberman. I also won't even watch a commercial with a Bush impersonator on it. The averse reaction outweighs the "getting us to notice" benefit.

I heard he switched to AT&T but still uses a Verizon phone.
