Lose the BlackBerry? Yes He Can, Maybe
Edited on Sun Nov-16-08 03:20 PM by AsahinaKimi

WASHINGTON — Sorry, Mr. President. Please surrender your BlackBerry.

Those are seven words President-elect Barack Obama is dreading but expecting to hear, friends and advisers say, when he takes office in 65 days.

For years, like legions of other professionals, Mr. Obama has been all but addicted to his BlackBerry. The device has rarely been far from his side — on most days, it was fastened to his belt — to provide a singular conduit to the outside world as the bubble around him grew tighter and tighter throughout his campaign.

Follow up..

2. Does that mean all his communications will go through Rahm Emanuel?

4. I think I might
die if I had to give up my Blackberry! How would I be able to check DU or other sites while away from my computer? I would have to wait for my email! Gack! I can't imagine. I have become a BB addict. It is the only piece of tech equipment that I have not ever been able to fuck up. I must never lose my BB.

Although, as someone above said, it might be cooler to be President than to have a Blackberry.
