What I will miss most about Bush
I just wanted to share a photo essay I compiled of protest photographs I took during the last four years of Bush's administration.

See the rest of the photos here along with my commentary.

1. Hi, Carlos!
Without Bush I probably never would have found DU and would never have met all the wonderful DUers I've met over the last four years, including you!

If either Gore or he had won, I never would have. Of course, if Gore had won, there would never have been a DU, right?

I wish the son of a bitch was never born. Humanity did not deserve a cretin like this. Just ask the dead civilian children. That's right. You can't ask them. They're dead. :dem:

8. I think that those who have suffered and lost loved ones, in large part, Iraqis,
would disagree with you. For them, what good came from bu$h being in power these past 8 yrs?

15. No worries...
I've done that a few times this week myself. The bigger person apologizes, and I thank you, and I hope to have the good sense to follow your lead the next time I misunderstand or overreact :)

12. I think one of the best attitudes in life
Is to try to seek the positive from the negative.

But I agree that for those who have lost loved ones in Iraq, it will be much harder.

9. I'll miss his creative uses of the English language, some of which are compiled into this poem...
MAKE THE PIE HIGHER
by George W. Bush

I think we all agree, the past is over.
This is still a dangerous world.
It's a world of madmen and uncertainty
and potential mental losses.

Rarely is the question asked
Is our children learning?
Will the highways of the Internet become more few?
How many hands have I shaked?

They misunderestimate me.
I am a pitbull on the pantleg of opportunity.
I know that the human being and the fish can coexist.
Families is where our nation finds hope, where our wings take dream.

Put food on your family!
Knock down the tollbooth!
Vulcanize society!
Make the pie higher! Make the pie higher!

Maybe some enterprising entrepreneur -- the French word Bushie once claimed the French have no word for -- will compile an entire CD or DVD of Bushie's greatest hits so he'll never be forgotten.

Meanwhile, use extra caution when you're told there are pitbulls close by, just in case one or two of them mistakes your sweats for the pantleg of opportunity. Could get pretty embarrassing under the wrong circumstances.
