Ahaaa Shit! Reid is going to wuss out AGAIN.
Reid on Lieberman: ‘I didn’t like what he did…but he is one of the most progressive people’ from CT.»
http://thinkprogress.org/2008/11/09/reid-on-lieberman/

On CNN’s Late Edition, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) said he recognizes what Joe Lieberman said and did during the campaign was “wrong” and “improper,” telling host John King, “if we weren’t on television, I’d use a stronger word of describing what he did.” But he added, “Joe Lieberman is not some right-wing nutcase, Joe Lieberman is one of the most progressive people ever to come from the state of Connecticut.” Watch it:

Reid had a blunt prediction for Sen. Ted Stevens’ future. “All the Republicans, John Ensign, head of the Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee, Republican Leader McConnell and a long list of people said that he’s going to be kicked out of the Senate,” Reid said. “Of course he is. He is not going to survive.”

1. We hope it won't come to that.
Please, everyone, keep Mark Begich and the counting of the remaining 81,000 ballots in your thoughts and/or prayers. This is really important.

2. This is getting really old.
Reid is a wimp.

They must have something on one of his grandchildren.

7. And Reid is LDS, right?
Prop 8 has shattered the American covenant of religious tolerance, perhaps forever.

8. Unlike Biden, he voted against the balanced budget amendment in 1997...
I wonder why.

Plenty of reasons exist to dislike Reid already... like mixing church and state on the Senate floor...

9. At the present time, it is about perception...
How can we say we are willing to work with the opposition when we are not ready to work with someone that caucuses with the Democrats? However, if Reid is waiting to see if Lieberman is the 60th vote, he is making a mistake. Even if he was the 60th vote, there is no guarantee he would vote with us. The odds are that he would vote with the Republicans. It's time to cut him loose. Now. There is no need to wait for the other Senate races to be called.

11. A few years ago, I railed against Liebermann for some reason ...
I was REALLY pissed at that bastard, and since then, he has deserved much of the derision he receives here ...

But I learned something about him then too ... He DOES have a liberal voting record ...

The things I despised about him, like his warmongering and his likudnik rantings, were enraging and very frustrating to me personally .... BUT: There is no doubt that man has a liberal voting record ....

It was proven to me then, and I am sure someone can provide his record to show it now ...

As awful as it might seem, and I literally want to puke when I think of it: Liebermann has a strong liberal voting record and would benefit the overall numbers in the Senate in favor of the Democrats ....

Sad but true ...

12. I can hardly express
the utter contempt and distain I feel for Harry Reid and all other complacent, bought-off Dem leadership (can you hear me, Nancy?) that continuously cave in to their deeply ingrained impulse to uphold the status quo. I'm so sick of the boys club - I could fucking scream!!!! Get rid of Harry Reid! Push Nancy Pelosi to the back bench. The nation has spoken and the message is NOT that we want freaking center-right leadership.

Repeal the bankruptcy bill, get profit out of health care, end the illegal occupation the war profiteering that has enriched the boys at every turn for the past 7+ years. God please - I pray that Obama becomes the FDR of our times because if he's yet another "polished politician saying only what it takes to get a vote, then there really is no hope for our country.

Sorry for the -

15. Well, saying Lieberman is one of the most progressive
people ever to come out of Connecticut is not exactly praise.
