5. Which one?
Are you talking about he one who was convicted of taking bribes from the oil companies or the one who was found to have violated Alaska ethics codes?

Either way, I think we should sell the whole Damned state back to the Russians.

6. I'm guessing AK got 'Diebolded'
It could be the concession the RNC made to Palin

After all, Stevens wins, gets booted out of the Senate and she can appoint herself in.

7. Reid said he would oppose the convicted felon's being seated.
Edited on Wed Nov-05-08 07:42 PM by KamaAina
Which, if the Senate concurred (Inouye will back Stevens until his dying day, and Lieberman might have officially switched to (R) by then) would eventually lead to a special election, in which Inmate No. 3275693B wouldn't be eligible to run; he qualified this time because he wasn't yet a convicted felon when he filed.

edit: speculation

9. Are felons allowed to vote there?
It's weird that felons can't vote in some places and can be Senators in others.

17. Ed Shultz reported on radio today that Harry Reid said he would kick Stevens out
of the senate if re-elected.

Which brought up the next question -- WOULD SARAH PALIN APPOINT HERSELF TO REPLACE STEVENS?

21. He's almost 85 too... 40 years as a senator...
and other republicans have even suggested that he should resign. Why doesn't this guy step down and let someone else have the seat? All I can think is that he is trying to beat Strom Thurmond's record.
