Words cannot describe how I feel now.
Sorry to use such a cliche, but this is one of the greatest moments in the history of this great land. We have hope. After eight long miserable years, we have hope. I am having a hard time describing things right now because I am weeping. Tears of joy. I can't recall having this feeling before. Ever. I am 51 years old and am more hopeful than I ever have been in my lifetime. And more weepy. Damn it. I'm a man. Stop crying. Or don't. Yes we can. And yes we did.

3. Hey, Bluz..........
I'm older than you, old enough to remember when JFK was elected. And I told a friend of mine, a young man, that JFK's charisma couldn't come close to what we see in Obama. That the country wasn't as enfeebled as we are now when JFK was elected. That our standing in the world wasn't so abysmal.

I remember all of that, and I watched all of it tonight through tears of disbelief and joy and you know what, Bluz?

We made it.

We did.

4. It is truly a beautiful thing.
For me, one of the best parts of tonight was when my 13yo son hugged me, tears mingled with mine, after Obama was announced as President elect of the United States of America.

Tonight will be forever remembered as one of the best nights in my life time.

:loveya:
