Had a funny conversation in the grocery store
Well, it was funny to me. Mrs. Deadmessengers and I are having a little returns-watching party at the house tonight, and I was over at the store stocking up on snacky-party-type things - chips, dip, salsa, a few frozen fingerfood things, some soda. A guy standing on line behind me says to me - "Having a little victory party for McCain tonight, are you?"

I looked at him, thought about it for a second or two, smiled, and said - "Everyone needs hope, right?"

Subtle snark really is the most satisfying, I tell ya... ;)

4. Georgia
Blood-red Cobb County Georgia, the place who's greatest gift to this country was Newt Gingrich. :puke:

3. It's on everyone's mind today... should be record turnouts
In Starbucks this morning someone actually stopped to tell me they liked my Obama bumper sticker ("Women for Obama"), here in Texas. He said he early-voted too.
