The beginning of the end of the repuke era

Conversation with a co-worker yesterday concerning the hateful repuke campaign. She is black, and we didn't get into the racism issue but we both knew what we were referring to.

I stated that the hateful speech and the lies of right-wingers will be looked upon as a nasty public habit that is scorned much like cigarette smoking is scorned now. Yes people will still be hate mongering, but it will become a dirty word to call oneself a Republican and then spout hate speech, because it should and will become socially unacceptable. Sign of lack of education for instance to spout talking points from badly researched political sites or FOX news. We need to call it for what it is at every opportunity.

The majority of the American people have already voted their preference and it does not include lies, hatred, racism and ignorance.

It may be convenient, it may feel good at the moment, but it is a nasty habit.
