Zogby caught push polling for McCain
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Zogby#Career

"On October 14, 2008, Zogby Interactive blurred polling and campaigning for Senator John McCain (2008 Republican Presidential Candidate) by conducting a push poll (a poll design to push a certain candidate or agenda) by asking several rather out of the ordinary questions about Senator Barack Obama (2008 Democratic Presidential Candidate) in order to push negative policies and issues with Obama to the person that was being polled. 2. Would your opinion of polls change if you knew that Zogby had nonconsensual sex with farm animals?
The only difference between Zogby and a common street whore is...

Wait a minute, I knew this a minute ago.

Hold on...

Zogby Push Polling?
by RockRichard

Tue Oct 14, 2008 at 10:45:32 PM PDT

Cross posted at Rock the Boat.

This will be brief. Yes, I know Zogby sucks. But news outlets still report their numbers as if they are reliable, so I signed up to take Zogby surveys in order to help shape the narrative.

Today, I got my first survey, and the questions are a bit peculiar:

RockRichard's diary :: ::
lease read the following statements and indicate for each whether they would influence you to be much more likely, somewhat more likely, somewhat less likely, or much less likely to vote for Barack Obama

If you knew Barack Obama supported a plan to give driver's licenses to illegal immigrants would you be
Much more likely to vote for him
Somewhat more likely to vote for him
Somewhat less likely to vote for him
Much less likely to vote for him
It doesn't change my vote
Not sure

If you knew Barack Obama supported a plan to provide Social Security benefits to illegal immigrants, would you be
Much more likely to vote for him
Somewhat more likely to vote for him
Somewhat less likely to vote for him
Much less likely to vote for him
It doesn't change my vote
Not sure

If you knew Barack Obama supported a plan to give government health care coverage to illegal immigrants, would you be
Much more likely to vote for him
Somewhat more likely to vote for him
Somewhat less likely to vote for him
Much less likely to vote for him
It doesn't change my vote
Not sure

If you knew Barack Obama supported the handgun ban in Washington DC (which was later overturned by the Supreme Court), would you be
Much more likely to vote for him
Somewhat more likely to vote for him
Somewhat less likely to vote for him
Much less likely to vote for him
It doesn't change my vote
Not sure

If you knew Barack Obama supported the right to the procedure called partial birth abortion, would you be
Much more likely to vote for him
Somewhat more likely to vote for him
Somewhat less likely to vote for him
Much less likely to vote for him
It doesn't change my vote
Not sure

Of the following issues which of the following is most likely to influence your vote?
A candidate who supports drivers licenses for illegal immigrants
A candidate who supports social security for illegal immigrants
A candidate who supports health care for illegal immigrants
A candidate who supports a total ban on handguns
A candidate who supports the right to the procedure called partial birth abortion
None, my mind is made up
Not sure

So, am I just paranoid? Or is Zogby engaging in push polling?
