The rise of the first SOCIALISTS of this century...according to Rush Limbaugh
Edited on Fri Oct-31-08 05:41 PM by underpants
"Nobody sacrificed anything on the (them) for the greater good!" exclaimed Limbaugh in response during yesterday's national broadcast. "That's so close to the Communist Manifesto, it's frightening. ...

"These are socialists, folks, this is what you have got to understand. To Sen. Kennedy, (they) typify socialism. That's what he means when he talks about a bunch of people sacrificing, believing in each other, working together for the greater good."

"Have we been facing down individualism?" Limbaugh asked. "Who are we facing down since Sept. 11? We're facing down terrorists – they are individualists. Do you see? This is exactly what liberals try to do. They are equating rugged individualism. There would not be an America were it not for that, ladies and gentlemen.

"This is a country founded by rugged individuals, and at the time there was no common good when some of them were out there doing what they were doing. They didn't know what the common good was going to be. All they knew is they were oppressed, and they were seeking freedom.

"So now, individuals are said to be terrorists. Individuals are these people who hijack jet aircraft and fly them into the World Trade Center, according to Sen. Kennedy. ...

"Since when did anybody say we're facing down individualism? Nobody has, but we know, thanks to Sen. Kennedy, this is what is in their minds. They are seeking to use ... the events of Sept. 11 to further their own socialist agenda. And thanks to the (them) for helping it along, with their silly notion of being introduced as a team prior to football games."

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_I...

Limbaugh was referring to the (New England ) Patriots' season-long decision to be introduced as an entire team, rather than having the names of individual players announced before the start of each contest.

"This is not what football is; this is not what football represents. Yes, there's teamwork, but teams are made up of individuals performing individual tasks to the best they can for a common good, but it's individuals doing what they're supposed to do at the right place, at the right time which adds up to a common good being met."

7. No that was rugged individualism. Concern with self first and foremost
when they spent the winterS without pay in the chance that one day they MIGHT get paid...or hanged
Whichever.

Only a rugged individualist would sign off for that, right Rush?

considering that he was too racist to last a single season as a color commentator on Monday Night Football.

8. I always did think Democrats could have gained advantage from 9-11-01.
A sense of collective responsibility could have been installed, and a demand for nationalization of sensitive industries like transport and armaments, in the name of national security would have been potentially popular. Democrats could have done many things to gain advantage, but cowered instead. Thank god those days are over.

15. The word 'liberal" that Limbaugh has purposely misrepresented & lied about - "Socialism" & "Unions" Updated at 4:31 PM
Edited on Fri Oct-31-08 06:45 PM by GreenTea
are two more words & concepts misinterpreted and misrepresented purposely by Limbaugh, the republicans and their "owned" media....

The republicans, corporations & the ruling class are so deathly afraid of people & workers uniting and helping each other!

They call it socialism and label it evil and the uninformed believe those scary words spewed out by Limbaugh & the like....

But when banks and corporations enjoy socialism, with bailouts, subsidies, welfare and tax cuts NOT a word of protest from these same republican corporate whores!

16. The GOVERNMENT does things they don't like
as in desegregating the military
desegregating the schools (that one bit)
Enforce equality in rights, employment, housing

All these interfere with "the ownership class"

Private industries and "the market" do it better you see- there you have no voice unless you can afford it

How perfectly that works for the ownership class.
