Listen DUers relax and enjoy your weekend
Edited on Fri Oct-31-08 06:52 AM by malaise
Open the windows and let in the fresh air.
Next week this time we will have a Democratic President, a Democratic Senate and a Democratic House.
Vote, vote, vote - we are winning this big time. We are 'thief proof' this time thanks to all the underground work by Dems re election fraud and thanks to the best organizational and fund-raising strategies in history.

Oh by the way Obama's infomercial stole prime time with 33.6 million viewers - clearly a world record for an infomercial.

2. I agree with your outcome, but a slight revision...relax from DU, but go find an Obama HQ and
volunteer! Make calls, canvass, bring them some coffee or water or snacks, data enter....

Time to close the deal!

5. Trick Or Treat
I wholeheartedly agree. Take some time this week and have a real life...go out for a walk, take in a museum, find a nice restaurant...disconnect for a bit. The world and its problems won't be going away.

I learned from 2004 not to get too wrapped in elections...steady as she goes works best and do what you can where you can. If you've worked phones or knocked on door or are driving people to the polls, you are giving a lot to this big effort, pace yourself...the world will spin around the sun on Wednesday no matter what happens. Consider yourself a part of history...and fighting the good fight.

I'm cautiously optimistic...the numbers are on our side in many ways, but I've been down this path before. However, in the way too many years I've been active in the political realm, this year's Democratic ticket is the most solid I've ever seen. Thus go with confidence and let's definitely "mash dem down" on Tuesday.

Hell, Obama can't lose, I've already made plans to be at the victory party on Tuesday...with a million of my closest friends.

:hi:

7. I'm way more than cautiously optimistic
They were going to lose anyway but Palin was the last straw for American citizens. Forget the lunatics.

On Tuesday night Gramps will be screaming to America - where are all the Joe the plumbers?

9. All The REAL Plumbers...The Union Guys
will be voting for Obama

Why do I see Joe holding his own election night "celebration"...live cameras and the rest.

The other day I had to laugh, they had Hank Williams Jr. at one of their rallies wearing a Pittsburgh Steeler's shirt, yet the team's owner has endorsed Obama. Sheesh...at least he could have worn won for Penn State.

My pleasure on election night will be watching the Beer Queen and the vicondin-induced smile on her face. The other day in Ohio, I was watching with my son...she was wearing a black fur...he looks at the teevee and asks..."whose watching the Dalmations?"

Also, I have to stop watching Rachel Maddow in the evenings. She's driving me crazy with her worrying.

11. You know what I'm waiting for?
I'm waiting to hear the enormous sigh of relief from not only the U.S. but from the world that the evil doers are fried! Wonder how the planet's newspaper headlines will read on November 5th? I'm also expecting the economy to show the confidence of an Obama win.

Got to find my bottles of champagne I bought in 2000 and 2004 and stick em' in the 'frig!
 :woohoo:

13. That Will Happen At 12:01pm 1/20/09
Even if Senator Obama wins, that's no time to get too comfy. We still have three months of a rogue regime trying to hide all its criminality, do one final fleece of our treasury and set up all sorts of messes that will require immediate attention. Remember, his old man sent troops to Somalia in '92 after he lost...the manchild is as dangerous as ever.

I'll get a big rush when I see the oath of office administered...then the hard work of fixing this country begins.

Cheers...

14. I'll be relaxing at the phone bank, but relaxed I am
We will win. Those who say they've been down this path before are just not correct, this is a new road we travel, and this cycle, this candidate, this electorate and in fact this nation is not the same as it was back in 2000. I remember then, people who this year are Mighty Democrats for Obama, in 2000 they said Gore=Bush, and they meant it. Now they have more wisdom running, and they are voting Obama. Anyone else remember people standing in 6 hour lines for days in order to vote? I don't. What I remember in other elections is that many people, even good people, would skip voting for any reason that came up, traffic, rain, a rough day at work. I knew many people in 2000 who said with pride that they were too busy to vote, busy in their minds = sucessful. They were gleefully not voting, and it meant nothing to them. This year, I know a dozen people who are taking off both the 4th and the 5th, and dozens more who have already voted.
To those who dare not hope: That was then. This is now. This is the time. And we are the record of the time.
Peace to all.
