4. I got a letter from him today asking for a donation; it had my
whole name on it, including maiden. Makes me wonder if they could access the DMV or whoever handles the voter registrations, because those are the only two places I ever see my maiden name anymore.

6. Write back and tell him that Obama isn't going to raise your taxes, because
you don't make over $250K, and he must have gotten you em address by mistake.

And add, FUCK OFF.

10. I'm jealous
John McCain never e-mails me. Ya know? It's just Barack Obama this and Barack Obama that and occasionally Joe Biden puts me on his CC's. You tell him to put me on his list right away as I've got this wonderful brick I've been saving for him that I've been meaning to get a postage paid envelope for.

14. I got a republican call last night.. and I wasn't completely polite...
I am normally pretty cool.. but the guy started in with "I'm calling from the TIME FOR A CHANGE campaign, the GOP, and... I want to be sure that you vote for ALL the GOP candidates on Tuesday."

well.. I just couldn't contain my laughter.. I told i"m that he couldn't pay me to vote for any of them. As he stuttered some response, I added "by the way, thanks for stealing that whole "change" thing! And I hung up.

My bad.

22. These GOP asshats called me the other day
What i do when they call me, I try to keep them on the phone as long as possible acting like I'm in the middle and don't know what I am going to do....this poor lamb to slaughter they had working the phone that night went on and on for about 35 minutes telling me how great McCain is, finally I said I have had enough of this and oh, by the way..I work for the Obama Campaign. My goal is to keep them from calling a "real" undecided voter. Also have gone into the McCain headquarters several times...phony name and gotten piles of material saying I'm going to this or that event, only to deep six the shit!

18. Interesting. When you go to the donation page you are met with their explanation of how it's skirted
Make a Contribution.

McCain-Palin Victory 2008 is a joint fundraising committee by the McCain-Palin Compliance Fund, Republican National Committee, and Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, and Pennsylvania Republican Parties. Because the McCain-Palin Campaign is participating in the presidential public funding system, it may not receive contributions for any candidate's election. However, federal law allows the McCain-Palin Campaign's Compliance Fund to defray legal and accounting compliance costs and preserve the Campaign's public grant for media, mail, phones, and get-out-the-vote programs. Contributions to McCain-Palin Victory 2008 will go to the Compliance Fund, and to participating party committees for Victory 2008 programs.

huh

20. Be grateful. They are calling me.
I keep having to delete their crap off my answering machine. You name it. They've been calling. Ooooh, the skies are going to fall, they say. It's a combination of prerecorded messages and real people who leave their phone numbers on my answering machine, like I'm going to call them back long distance or something. Dream on.
