My Congressman, Rodney Frelinghuysen, a Repug, is running ads on local cable without affiliation
AND NOT disclosing he is a fucking Rethug, claiming he is 'right' for these tough times. I live in one of three Red stronghold counties in NJ, and this scumbag is long overdue to lose.

These are his "enews highlights"

5. Reach Out and Read!
6. Frelinghuysen Visits New Jersey Schools
7. New York Times Article on Economic Challenges
8. Spread the eNews

And these are the demographics for my District

Tom Wyka needs our help, this is the third time in 6 years Tom is running here in NJ, with little money and NO press coverage (thanks to the Rethug bias here).

NJ deserves better, throw the bum out.

1. Can you blame him? Who'd want to claim to be a Republican?

2. Not a good time to advertise you're a Republican. I remember...
this guy, and with that district he's got I doubt you'll ever get rid of him. Bad luck for you, but at least he's not the worst of them. Kinda more from the Keane wing of the party.

How's Scott Garrett doing up there in District 5? A few years ago they almost threw his dead ass out, but he squeaked back in. There's people up there who dream of living in Harding and elected this useless pantload as part of that dream.

(OTOH, I had Don Payne as my Congressman, and having one of the safest seats in the House he did little but suck up to the Union and Essex party leaders.)

5. Like Dainbamaged, this is my Congressman

This is our best shot to get rid of him - though it is a very long shot. He has the look and sound of a moderate Republican, even as he has voted with Bush. One area where he fought Bush is that he was one of the Republican Congressmen who voted against drilling in ANWR in 2005, when the Senate was unable to block it.

Things like that and the fact that his name is associated in the county to the Frelinghuysen Arboretum, which his family donated decades ago to the county. His family has been in NJ politics since the Revolutionary war. Here's a NYT article on the last Frelinghuysens - http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9405E1D71138F937A35751C0A96F958260

7. They did similar things in 2006
refusing to help anyone if they were in a Republican heavy district. It would be a real tough race even if he had money. I've seen Wyka speak and in a less Republican district, he would likely be in office. In fact, one Democratic politician told my husband and I that he had decades ago been at a meeting with Bill Bradley, who lived in Denville then, where the Morris Democrats were trying to get him to make a run for either Congressman or for the state legislature (I can't remember which). He told them that he thought it would be better to immediately go for Senator, because he had a chance to win state wide, but he would lose in Morris County.

9. Ditto. I'm in your district . . .
. . . and have been suffering from severe Frelinghuysen Fatigue for years.

:puke:

PS: He also voted in favor of Bill Clinton's impeachment.
