Deaths in the course of work per 100,000 workers per year:

Timber cutters 117.8
Fishers 71.1
Pilots and navigators 69.8
Structural metal workers 58.2
Drivers-sales workers 37.9
Roofers 37
Electrical power installers 32.5
Farm occupations 28
Construction laborers 27.7
Truck drivers 25
US presidents 1826.5


4 US presidents have been assassinated in the 219 years there has been a presidency. The number would even be higher if you count the likes of William Henry Harrison, whose death was arguably hastened by overwork. I don't know what the tallies for Senators and Congressmen are. Still, uneasy lies the head...
