The RNC - flat-assed broke - is borrowing to fight off strong Dem Senate runs .....
...... in states they could never have dreamed of having to defend ......

Georgia - Saxby's in deep shit.

Kentucky - Kentucky ferkrissakes - McConnell is looking more like he's about to meet the same fate as Tom Daschle.

Minnesota - Norm is about to get his thick locks shorn by Al Franken. Think about that. Al Franken. The conventional wisdom holds that if Franken wins, there will be at least 59 Democratic senators ahead of him.

These fucking people have played out the string.

Oh .... speaking of money - or lack thereof - McCain is having to do hybrid ads in some states whereby a congressional or senate candidate does a dual dd that mentions McCain ..... cuz Johnny's pretty much outta bux, too. And so he has to thread this :couch cough: McCain-Feingold :cough: loophole to keep any sort of presence on the air.

Whooda thunk it ..... Repubs beggin' fer bux?

11. Gotta Love The Rich Crying Poor
I heard some GOOP spinner this morning saying how unfair it was that Obama has so many ads running in Northern Virginia...as if this was some nefarious trick. It feels damn good to see Democrats outraise and outspend these bastards and force them to really defend their turf. We know how wreckless repugnicans are with our tax money, now let's force 'em to be as "efficient" in their campaigns.

The fun should begin soon as Gramps keeps dipping into the RNC to try to keep his floundering campaign viable while more and more seats go into play...who gets the grease? If you pull Gramps out of a state like Pennsylvania or Ohio or Florida, the rest of the ticket suffers as well, but for him to stay in those states, he's gotta pull money from the RNC that would go to those local candidates. Ain't that a pisser.

13. This is why the GOP wanted to loosen up the credit crunch
Odd how in an atmosphere where banks that aren't trusting each other to front any money, one bank ponied up a few million to keep the Republicans afloat.

As soon as the fundraising totals started coming in at the beginning of the year, I knew the Republicans were in trouble. Both parties were raising about the same amount of money, and through some judicious use, the Democrats pulled ahead in cash on hand a few times. The Republicans are used to having a huge money edge, something like three to one. And even with that, the turds they're selling still stink to high heaven. Now, as election day nears, the Republicans have mismanaged what little funds they have (big surprise there), and are in no position to spend their way back to respectability.

They're having to play Big Defense to cover some of their favorite sons, and they have nothing to spend on their second tier candidates. Third tier candidates are in a hopeless position. If you're a volunteer, work these next three weeks with a cheerful heart. For once, the payoff is going to be enormous, and feel free to ignore the yammering of the GOP about how unfair it all is, that both parties had the same amount of money to spend.
