It's a joke the way the media has hyped McCain bringing up Ayers tonight
They report this as if they don't have access to the FACTS related to Ayers and his participation on the Annenberg board and the fundraiser Ayers held at his house. It's a fraud the way they are prepared to let McCain define that non-relationship in the debate tonight in the vacuum of their own lack of reporting.

My sense is that the moment will go by like the premier of a lousy sitcom.

1. Actually, with all the press coverage...
if he DOES bring up Ayers, it'll look like a desperate political gimmick rather than a real issue.

6. It'll be a blast when Obama ties McCain to ACORN
. . . and rips him for trying to distract from his lousy campaign.

3. On the other hand, McCain had better produce
He's backed himself into a corner on this one. If he does bring up Ayers, he looks like a loon. If he doesn't, he's a coward.

Either way, he's just shot himself in the foot.

12. I'm surprised that the man can still walk
shooting himself in the foot seems to be a daily happening these last few weeks. It's really starting to feel like shooting fish in a barrel.

5. I just heard some douche on MSNBC saying that Obama needs
to explain how he got his start in politics thanks to Bill Ayers and they've been a long time, and Obama got his start from terrorism

7. Now McCain won't HAVE to bring it up at all, because media has been breathlessly discussing it
and keeping the misinformation out there FOR him. Then tonight when he doesn't make a big attack out of Ayers the media will commend his statesmanship.....focking dog and pony shows.

9. Yes he will have to bring it up; the GOP base will be waiting for it.
If he doesn't deliver, they're gonna be pissed. Maybe pissed enough to stay home.

15. so, he'll try and hook Obama into saying something about Ayers he can harp on the next day
. . . I gotta believe the Obama campaign is prepared for that. I've really never seen such an effectively responsive team. They get ahead the curve and stay there until they win. I expect him to bring the debate back to economics every chance he gets to speak and dismiss every charge as a distraction. I think the viewers will agree.

10. I'm surprised that the media is goading McCain like this
they usually prop up the Republicans. Tomorrow night will be very painful to watch if McCain blunders into this and Thursday night is guaranteed to be ugly for McCain because he's decided to go on Letterman. It just cannot turn out well for him.

13. I really hope that Obama points out that the guy who was responsible for
allowing "the domestic terrorist" onto the board was awarded a very prestigious medal by Ronald Reagan ... and that makes Ronald Reagan a supporter of terrorism ...
