ABC: Mahoney Paid $121k To "alleged Mistress"
By Glenn Thrush

Oct 13, 2008

(The Politico) Rep. Tim Mahoney (D-FL), whose predecessor Mark Foley resigned in disgrace, paid his alleged mistress -- a former staffer -- $121,000 in a settlement, according to ABC News, citing Mahoney staffers.

A spokesman for Mahoney said no campaign or office funds were used for the payout.

Excerpts (with full story here):

Mahoney, who is married, also promised the woman, Patricia Allen, a $50,000 a year job for two years at the agency that handles his campaign advertising, the staffers said.

A Mahoney spokesperson would not answer questions about the alleged affair or the settlement, but said Allen resigned of her own accord and "has not received any special payment from campaign funds."

8. McCain is married to his real not alleged mistress
He was dating Cindy while his wife and kids were at home. And then he left them for her.

Republicans don't want to talk about this.

Take that to the bank.

Don

10. Eh, if Palin can survive with nary a mark after being found guilty
of abusing her powers as Governor. I don't think this will even be a blip.
