Palin denies she abused power

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/10/11/palin.investigation/index.html

(CNN) -- Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin denied Saturday that she had abused her power as Alaska's governor, a conclusion reached by a state investigator in a report released the day before.

"If you read the report, you will see that there was nothing unlawful or unethical about replacing a cabinet member," Palin said as boarded her campaign bus in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. "You got to read the report."

Palin violated state ethics law by trying to get her former brother-in-law fired from the state police, a state investigator's report for the bipartisan Legislative Council concluded Friday.

"Gov. Palin knowingly permitted a situation to continue where impermissible pressure was placed on several subordinates in order to advance a personal agenda," the report states.

Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan's refusal to fire State Trooper Mike Wooten from the state police force was "likely a contributing factor" to Monegan's July dismissal, but Palin had the authority as governor to fire him, the report by former Anchorage prosecutor Stephen Branchflower states.

3. Her statement is true. She can fire at will, however she VIOLATED THE PUBLIC TRUST
by using her office and resources for personal gain.

4. Palin declares self "QUEEN OF NORTH AMERICA" and pardons self.
Just about the same thing that happened.

She has set the toaster to burn and toasted both her and McLame's slice of the future.

6. Of course she denies it. What ELSE is she gonna say,
"oh yeah, that is SO me and Todd. He sat at a card table in my office and called important people in my name."

That would be TRUE, but anyone who would dare to speak that much truth probably wouldn't abuse their position in the first place.

7. You're getting a KICK just because it seems like Troopergate is already old news!
And the doggone report just came out yesterday! Saw about 600 threads on Palin being booed at a hockey game; 30 threads on her damn SAT score and one ALL DAY on Troopergate!!

Good grief!

an envelope (written in crayon) and the committee grinds out a 300 page report with dozens of witnesses and evidence and she says that they are wrong and partisan (10 republicans and 4 democrats) seems her own party has the upper hand. They did however give Palin a break they released the report on a Friday just before a big sports weekend I guess hoping that everyone will forget it by Monday.
