They're Back!
Reagan Democrats. That media darling demographic that left the party in the Reagan era, is coming back to the Democratic party because of economics. Looks like the politics of division have taken a massive hit:

Reagan's Democrats back in fold
Obama makes poll gains as economy turns blue-collar voters against McCain

By Leonard Doyle in Nashville, Tennessee
Wednesday, 8 October 2008

The white working-class voters who have been sending Republican candidates to the White House for a generation seem to have turned their backs on John McCain as the economic crisis deepens.

The Arizona Senator has seen his lead among those voters, who make up about half of the US electorate and are often called the "Reagan Democrats", whittled down to 11 points from 18 during the past two weeks, according to the latest Wall Street Journal/NBC poll. That has translated into an overallsix-point lead nationally for Barack Obama, whereas not long ago, the presidential race was essentially tied.

3. What about Reagan?
Yeah, it's a media made up the demographic, but there has been a large portion of the country voting against they're own interests because of "God, gays and guns." That's kind of indisputable.

2. Obamacrats - Millions of newly registered democrats brought in by Obama

Obamacrats - These are the people that will make the most difference this year. They're young, they're smart, they're optimistic, they're all pumped up and ready to go.

the FDR Democrats. So, it's still a good thing. Maybe it will open their eyes to all the things going on.

5. I will not call these suckers, suckers
I will welcome them back now that they have vomited out the putrid republicon propaganda spew they swallowed so greedily over the years.

They will have to find a way to forgive themselves for their own pitiful folly, though.

It was all a pack of republicon foma. Anyone with open eyes could have seen it 30 years ago.

7. "Trickle Down Economics" apparantly didn't work too well for them
The whole theory of increasing the wealth of large corporations to solve social issues through a trickle-down funnel has been blown to bits over the past 3 weeks. I'm happy the Reagan democrats are back, but sorry about the price that has been paid by all of us.
