Do people forget so easily?
I know all of a sudden Biden looks so great but people forget which I don't, that Biden while confirming torture boy Alberto said you seem like a decent fellow to me you're a good guy I like you . So what the hell was that?

This what I just don't understand about america and how they will ignore the actual truth no matter what.

1. What is your point? Biden is part of the ticket and he comes with the package. nt

5. My point is people will forget to accept whatever is presented
Package my ass. You can't tell me there was not one candidate who would have made a much better choice and to discount the facts is just buying into yet another illusion.

It's like buying a new car and part of the package is a set of known faulty tires but it comes with the package so you accept this rather than saying no deal.

Don't people see how it is a contradiction to say McCain is old and ill when Biden is also old and has health issues so where is the difference.

This is not to commend McCain but to point out blinding hypocrisy.

2. Bankruptcy bill comes to mind
But we haven't been consulted about what we want in Gov't for 7 or more years now- why should today be any different?

4. Clinton vetoed that bill twice in the nineties. I didn't know that.

6. I didn't either
But it's good to know that he was on our side sometimes. Some of the other stuff he did we can do without, but in this sad state of affairs, sticking up for us at all is a BIG THING.

11. I think he had our best interests at heart, it didn't always work out. OTOH, george does just the
opposite. george set out to enrich his bidness buds, the haves and have mores, himself and his rich friends and destroy us. That is why he was installed. Time of your life, eh george, you hideous little man.

3. "So what the hell was that?" Politics.
 I don't like his part in the bankruptcy bill that screwed over the majority of us. I won't soon forget that.

7. I am in total agreement.
I feel like with the choices that have been made "on my behalf", I have become isolated out of my own party.
Nobody cares what I think, what I want, or what is important to me. I am an outsider to national politics at this point. All the important stuff happens locally anyway.
I have a laundry list of Democratic ideals that have been abandoned by the party...to even mention them makes you a "party pooper", so, I don't.
Fortunately, I am currently in a position that I can take care of my own family no matter what happens in Washington. I wanted the same for everyone...however, platitudes were more important than REAL issues and the majority spoke so they will have to live with what they selected. I won't argue/debate or be baited to go further than to say that.

10. And you couldn't hold this thought for four weeks, eh?
Edited on Tue Oct-07-08 11:32 AM by TexasObserver
Thanks for your concern. It really, really matters.

Good to know you've got your head in the game, with under four weeks to go, because this whole Biden/Gonzalez issue requires full attention.
