I'm sure that by now, some of you have seen the videos of children and teenagers singing about Obama, or talking about how Obama is inspiring them. I know that Drudge has been giving them prominence on his muck-site, and I'm pretty sure that they're in heavy circulation among the rethug email circle-jerk crowd. Just in case you're not familiar with what I'm referring to, here are some links to check them out for yourself.

It's not our fault that the rethugs haven't had anybody to inspire young people since...well...since Abraham Lincoln. I find it refreshing to find that young people - especially the teens in the 2nd video - can find inspiration from a political candidate. Democratic leaders seem to be able to inspire young people - Obama, Bill Clinton, JFK - and all we hear on the rethug side are crickets. Let the Young Rethugs chase after their real role model - the almighty dollar sign.

2. What about those two young women who sang, "It's Raining McCain"
Edited on Mon Oct-06-08 07:57 PM by LisaM
granted, it's probably the stupidest song ever (except for the follow up, whose title escapes me) but what about them? So soon forgotten?

On edit: I take it back, there are THREE of them, and they ain't all that young. But I refuse to let it die an obscure death, so I'll keep the link here.

3. Did you read the comments under the video?
All were negative.

4. I try not to pay attention to comments on open sites like that
Especially since Drudge has really been pushing these videos over the past several days. Of course, those comments do serve to show the level of racism and hatred that exists among the RW crowd.

http://www.kididdles.com/lyrics/midi/t032.mid

This old man, he played one,
He played knick-knack on my thumb;
Knick-knack paddywhack,
Give a dog a bone,
This old man came rolling home.

This old man, he played two,
He played knick-knack on my shoe;
Knick-knack paddywhack,
Give a dog a bone,
This old man came rolling home.

This old man, he played three,
He played knick-knack on my knee;
Knick-knack paddywhack,
Give a dog a bone,
This old man came rolling home.

This old man, he played four,
He played knick-knack on my door;
Knick-knack paddywhack,
Give a dog a bone,
This old man came rolling home.

This old man, he played five,
He played knick-knack on my hive;
Knick-knack paddywhack,
Give a dog a bone,
This old man came rolling home.

This old man, he played six,
He played knick-knack on my sticks;
Knick-knack paddywhack,
Give a dog a bone,
This old man came rolling home.

This old man, he played seven,
He played knick-knack up in Heaven;
Knick-knack paddywhack,
Give a dog a bone,
This old man came rolling home.

This old man, he played eight,
He played knick-knack on my gate;
Knick-knack paddywhack,
Give a dog a bone,
This old man came rolling home.

This old man, he played nine,
He played knick-knack on my spine;
Knick-knack paddywhack,
Give a dog a bone,
This old man came rolling home.

This old man, he played ten,
He played knick-knack once again;
Knick-knack paddywhack,
Give a dog a bone,
This old man came rolling home.
