What are Neocons and what we are up against...

Carl Rove and others in that circle
These people are what are called Neocons. They follow a philosophy taught at the University of Chicago by a Prof. Leo Strauss.
He came to the USA from Germany in 1938. He was sponsored by the then German government to spread their philosophy. He taught until 1975.
Most of the big players in this Bush administration have been indoctrinated into the philosophy of Leo Strauss.

Basically the philosophy goes like this:

Liberal democracy will lead to the end of civilization as we know it.
What is needed is a government with a strong executive (a benevolent monarch)
He should be surrounded by the "Supermen" or intellectual elite
These "supermen" have the absolute right to rule over the "Ignorant masses"
Rules, Law, and religion is only a way to keep the "ignorant masses" under control but do not apply to the "supermen"
This makes the ruling elite above the law.
It is the duty of the ruling elite to lie, and deceive the "ignorant masses" who could not deal with the truth if they were told it.
Levi Strauss said that in order to take power in the USA it is necessary to build a support structure and place the right people in the right places so that over time more and more of the structures of the system are in the control of the "supermen"
He suggested first to place people in positions in University's so they could recommend each other for jobs. Then he said develop think tanks from which the government of the day can draw ideas and talent. Then he said do not be the politicians but rather be the advisers to the politicians. That way no matter who gets elected the politicians they will allow their advisers to lead them in the right direction.
A couple of points with regard to holding onto power.
He said that the country needed to be in a permanent state of war.
There must be a clear a defined external threat that will keep the "ignorant masses" in fear all the time.
You must use fear to control the "ignorant masses" and for them to give up their civil liberties in exchange for security
You must spy on the ignorant masses so that they think the government will know if they try to resist
You must bypass the congress as much as possible and expand the power of the executive as fast as possible.
The powerful will always dominate the weak so use the army to project military power.
Tell the ignorant masses that Pre-emptive war is needed to protect them
All of the supermen, intellectual elites and all people in the executive branch of government are above the law and must not be held accountable for any of their actions.
It is acceptable to ignore any and all international laws that get in the way of the projection of military power.
It is acceptable to use superior military power to seize the natural resources of other countries
Once in power it is acceptable to hold elections provided the results are a fore gone conclusion.
It is acceptable to lie about the opposition candidates, to fabricate lies and to do anything at all that will destroy the opponents.
Elections are like war and the only acceptable outcome is victory and there is no action that is excluded.
Always attack the opponents strongest asset.
Fabricate any story that can discredit the opposition
Arrange to have control of the counting of ballets to ensure a victory.
When faces with a huge majority for the opposition make sure that the victories are narrow but not so narrow as to make a recount needed
Always accuse the opponents of doing what you are infact doing.
The opposition will not realize that he is up against an unstoppable foe.
The American people are very slow and will not realize they are being lied to.

These Neocons first gained positions of power under Ronald Regan and then again under Bush 1 and Bush 2. They have been putting the above agenda together for at least 30 years. To name some of the followers of Leo Strauss: Dick Cheney, Don Rumsfeld, Wolfovitz, Kristol, Rove, Libby, Gates, Lieberman, McCain, all of the appointments made by Cheney were followers of this philosophy.

I know I have gone on a bit much and its hard to accept but look at this administrations actions and compare them to the list of principles they are supposed to follow in order to save civilization and you will find that these characters are following the Leo Strauss rules to the letter.

They say God Bless America, if these people steal this election then I say

God Help America.
