why did he take part in Bush's economy/bailout dog and pony show, running to Washington to increase the appearance that some problem desperately needed to be solved, and that he was large and in charge, putting the country first (read: Bush's policy first).

How mavericky is it to play along again with George Bush as he transfers the Treasury to his friends? Vote McCain for more of the same.
