How about collecting the true corporation taxes that are due to this country?

1. how about curtailing offshore outsourcing??
they keep talking about how people can't afford to pay the loans that the banks gave them and how that is the cause of this financial crisis. How about people can't afford the loans because their job went to India or that their wages have been stagnant the last 8 years while everything else went up? I haven't heard any talking heads mention that.

It seems to me that more jobs and higher wages would mean less defaulted loans.

But what do I know?

3. I do know Obama has a plan for this. In a nutshell, he wants to
take away tax benefits for companies/corporations who take jobs overseas and give tax breaks/benefits to companies/corps who keep jobs in this country. That's a start, and a big one. As soon as it becomes not so profitable to have their jobs overseas, they will bring them back and that is what will help our economy. I haven't heard a word from McSimple on this subject.

4. yep, I know..
and I work in an IBM data center where we are training Indians on some of our accounts so that they can take them to India. We have lost over half of our accounts to India and Brazil. We are barely hanging on. I make $2 or $3 less per hour than when I started 5 years ago and no benefits.

But when I tell my redneck co-workers that Obama will do something about outsourcing, they pretty much reply that Obama is a fucking idiot. When I ask for an example of his idiocy all they have is a right-wing lie (he's muslim!) or a Youtube video whereObama may have had a slip of the tongue. They know nothing of his policies, background, intelligence, empathy, etc. It's so damn frustrating!

6. I have a husband in your same predicament - wages have decreased since 1999 AND
for 6 of the last 8 years, increases in any health benefits have further reduced our income.

7. Everyone says "sure" but 'it would never be mentioned' - well we have power now, don't we?
Aren't they listening to the angry masses regarding the bailout?

Maybe the time is ripe to point fingers are tax evaders and get some national attention?
