Note to McCain Camp: Don't mess with Chicago

Mayor Daley defends brother, blasts McCain ad

Mayor Richard Daley teed off Tuesday on Republican presidential candidate John McCain for including Daley's brother in a negative ad about Barack Obama's Chicago political roots.

The TV ad claims that Democratic presidential candidate Obama, a U.S. senator from Illinois, was "born of the corrupt Chicago political machine." The commercial seeks to link Obama to four power-brokers: mayoral brother Bill Daley, convicted former fundraiser Antoin "Tony" Rezko, Obama mentor and Illinois Senate President Emil Jones and embattled Democratic Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

"People get desperate in their political life," the mayor said when asked about the ad. "My theory about politics and government: You build yourself up. You don’t have to tear people down."

...

"If people start throwing dirt and mud – remember, it comes back and hits you right in the face," the mayor said. "I think, to put my brother Bill there – they want to put me there, fine, they put me there all the time anyway."

...

Asked if he is suggesting a Keating Five ad, Daley shot back: “It would be a great ad. People lost their life savings. Life savings, their own homes, for a guy named Keating out of Arizona.

"You want to get tough in politics, I can get tough in politics as anyone else," Daley said. "When you start throwing mud, mud is going to be thrown at you and it’s going to be sticky

2. Get the McCain Mud out There Now! But not by Obama
All of the Chicago/Illinois crowd need to gang on the anti-McCain full court press, AND the pro-dem orgs, the Obama surragates including Bill and Hilary, Claire McCaskil (I love her) Rahm Emanual, Joe Biden and every nationally figure close to Obama. All of the McCain crap must be smeared all over the media, especially the major networks and cable news, but not forgetting all of the the newly emerging alternate sources on the web. All out, all hands on deck. Lets bury this bastard. All of McCain affairs, Keating Five - the full story and McCain's corupt role in attempting to stop investigations, who gives him money, his wife's drug addiction and thay she got her wealth and his financial support for his political careers from her company's profits from selling alchohol to people - beer - the most destructive drug in human history! And, most strategically, the Obama supporters need to take a page from Rove's book - go afer McCain's one strength - his POW/miltary so-called heroism! What Bullcrap! Even his own cell mates at the Hanoi Hilton report now that he was a traitor - he signed the confession statement to make himself more comfortable. And, he has the most dispicable record on Vets benefits. What a hypocrite. Dems need to pound on that everyday. Democrats must be vicious if they want to win this election. I am in favor of the Dems doing anything that in the heat of battle is appropriate, ethical and legal.

And, fianlly, the Dems needs to stop pussyfooting about Corporate Socialism NO BAILOUT FOR WALL STREET FAILURES. Let them far. We will recover and I don't care if they do or not.
