4. Buncha Democrats will be linked to these effed up outfits
Just to muddy up the waters. If they are successful and McPOW wins the election the investigation will quietly be dropped.

I have little doubt that the big-shots in these companies tricked the books in some way or the other.

14. Is it possible that before these companies went under....
They were speculating in oil futures?

Just seems like a coincidence that right before these companies go bankrupt, oil speculation goes through the roof, then drops after they go bankrupt. Is it possible that they were applying their same ponzi scheme to oil futures to drive the price up to keep themselves operating a little longer at the expense of average Americans?

Edited on Tue Sep-23-08 06:54 PM by SoCalDem
Isn't that the mantra of the Bush admin?? Let's use it right back at them..

When there are indictments handed down, property siezed, then we'll talk :)

17.  I recommend that they investigate Paulson who let the cat out of the bag today
that he has been sitting on his "rescue plan" for months now. What did he know and when did he know it?

21. Yes, but...
Edited on Tue Sep-23-08 06:49 PM by BraneMatter
who is going to investigate the FBI???

Here is the root of the problem, as stated by Paulson at the hearing today:

"When you ask about the taxpayers being put on the hook, guess what, the taxpayers are already on the hook. They got put on the hook by the system we have..."

But Hank, isn't CAPITALISM the system we have????

Hmmm....

22. Awesome. Now that hundreds of billions have been stolen
In front of the entire world, they will designate a few lower level fall guys to prosecute, put them in Club Fed for 18 months and declare that justice is done.

All the while, the major kleptocrats will be flying around in their private jets, on their way to their yachts, on the phone to their congresscritters for the latest government contract giveaway, laughing their asses off at the stiffs we Americans have become.

I want to be sick

you have to wonder what in the world they are being investigated for.

27. Can we please add Goldman Sachs to the list?
Former money trough for our new economic czar, Comrade Paulson.
Seems the commissaar got away with $500M - mostly invested in the market, which probably explains at least a little bit of the $700B.

30. Thoughts about current FBI relationship with B*shco?
How much of a rebellious move is this by the FBI?

I always have the worst thoughts, thanks to this criminal administration. I wonder what conspiracy is in play with this new development if it's NOT a rebellion on the part of the FBI.
