Please take the time to read the emails
concerning the firing of the U.S. Attorneys--they are available at www.judiciary.house.gov or the Washington Post has assembled two sets: http://media.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/pdf/why_a_031307.pdf
and http://media.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/pdf/why_b_031307.pdf

In the first set, go to 17 of 38 for the "strategy."

This is absolutely telling.

But don't just stop after you have read the plan. Think about it. Think about the other "plans" to control who gets power and who gets shut out.

And then let your Congressional Delegation know that you expect to have swift action taken and they are going to have to take that action before we, the people, take it upon ourselves to stop this insanity.

2. Go to the bottom center of the page, and you will
see that it starts 1 of 38. Just enter 17 in the box with the one--or read through, flipping with the arrow on the right to # 17.

6. What I found telling was the email about how they would deal with
any Repub Senator's push back. They stated right in the email that they would pay lip service to the elected officials all the while dragging their feet and running out the clock so that their objections would have actually fallen on deaf ears all along.

I want to know why the Repubs are just as pissed off about this as we are.

Also, why so many different email extensions (the part after the @ )? gwb04.com? :wtf: Were these people actually government employees and if they were, why didn't they have a dot gov extension rather than a gwb04.com one? That just stuck out and seems ed very bizarre to me.

10. page 17! The ultimate "talking points"
What to do if the fired Attorneys, you know, object to being summarily fired without cause. That's pretty damn bald.

"Recipients of such "appeals" must respond identically:

:bluebox: What?: U.S. Attorneys serve at the pleasure of the President (there is no right, nor should there be any expectation, that U.S. Attorneys would be entitled to serve beyond their four year term).

:bluebox: Who Decided?: The Administration made the determination to seek the resignations (not any specific person at the White House or the Department of Justice).

:bluebox: Why Me?: The Administration if grateful for your service, but wants to give someone else the chance to serve in your district.

:bluebox: I need more time!: The decision is to have a new Acting or Interim U.S. Attorney in place by the end of the year. (Granting "extentions" will hinder the process of getting a new U.S. Attorney in place and giving that person the opportunity to serve for a full two years).
