Line up all the pro-corporate brayers and attempt to continue fooling the citizens.
Where is Naomi Klein? Where is Krugman?

Fuck you M$Greedia.

This Week is coming up here; I'm almost looking forward to it:

4. Listening to Eric Clapton myself
rather than listen to all the more lies about the dire straits we're in I'll just bury my head in the sand knowing full well what is being said about all this is not the truth. And blissfully along my way I go.

NOT

But seriesly!!!1!! the neoCONs own the media lock stock and barrel and are only getting the last of the crumbs we have left.

10. I am afraid to read it....
I am angry enough now, I fear it would put me over the top.

I need to do what I did today and yesterday: watch more native language TV, get out on my bike every day, and stop thinking about the meltdown overseas.

9. I went fishing this morning and never caught but one little skinny
bass. I think people without jobs have eaten them all up. It's getting mighty hungry out, around here.

11. Our son went fishing yesterday morning so we'll be having fried catfish for our evening meal
I wish you all could come and park your feet under our humble table for some muchly needed fellowship.

12. I love fried catfish!
The walleye season is just around the corner here, so I'll be having some quality fish to fry before too long.

I hear the catfish get big in your part of the country.

Enjoy your fine supper!

6. I turned the Sunday yappers off in the 80s
I turned the rest of the news off in 2004. The evening news had only been a habit for a long time: make dinner, flip on the set, flop down to eat. I just started flipping on music instead and found my digestion improved.

I'll tune into the last few minutes of Olberman if I've read he's going to blast some cretin at the end of the show. I'll tune into a local news at the quarter hour if the weather shows signs of becoming interesting. Otherwise, I'll watch a film or listen to music or just hang out at DU.

I found I became more informed once the blow dried bobbleheads were banished from my living room. No longer spoon fed predigested corporate pap, I filled in the empty space with real information.

It's put me outside the mainstream, but age had already done that.

8. Tom Brokaw SUCKS as host of Press the Meat
Bloomberg just pissed TommyBoy off, suggesting that after his term as Mayor he would like to be the host of MTP. Brokejaw didn't like that at all.

He has become very dour, I can't stand listening to him anymore. :puke:
