life long republican and after 31 yrs this election is the first one without marital discord.

He's sick of the lies and distortion of Mc Cain. Obama came to our town and said "I need you to argue with your friends and everyone you know" We live in a red neck town and husband has taken those words to heart. He's discovered snopes (I know we all are acquainted..but for a right winger this is earth shaking) and fires off emails to 20 of his friends every day. Yesterday he had his haircut at salon and insisted that all tv's be switched from Fox and lectured all on the talking heads of Fox News. I had appt later in day and they all told me how grateful they were to learn the lies re Palin and Mc Cain as they genuinely didn't know. "Please thank your husband for us"

this is the first election I haven't moved into a motel! LOL

1. This is an excellent illustration of the necessity of an independent

media. There are millions of people in America who just plain DON'T KNOW how often or how egregiously they're being lied to. They would never stand for it if they found out.

4. my husband was a moderate republican.

he registered as a democrat early this year to vote for obama in the primary. he can't stand the republicans anymore. says they should all be kicked out of office.

but my hubby of 21 years has NEVER Voted in his life (!!!!!!!!!!!!). It's something I stopped questioning after 5 years....BUT I am this close to getting him to register and vote this year....Ohio has a week long overlap this year where you can register and vote the same day....I'll keep working on him...
