I'm Back!! (didja miss me????)

hee hee...

I've been without internet and Cable since Sunday afternoon. In Ohio we had a major wind storm as a result of Ike and a cold front. It was unlike anything I'd ever seen! 70 mph winds. Limbs down, trees down. Signal lights out. We were without electricity for 3 days, but at least we had running water--some of my coworkers didn't. It was an eye opening experience, Monday morning I didn't know if my sons had school or not-- no TV, no radio, no internet, it was weird!

We did homework by candle light, took showers in the dark and had more fast food than we should ever have. When electricity came back on we looked at the front window to the house across the street (it was dark) and saw flames shooting up and two large booms with major "fireworks" I seriously thought their house had exploded. I called 911 and ran over to check on them...they had blown a transformer and that took our electricity down again. The transformer also blew out our cable.

I went through withdrawal for this site, HuffPo and CNN. I called my hubby at work (they had power) and asked him to go to any news site and read me the headlines...he thought I was nuts.

But now I'm back! Trying hard to catch up!
Did I miss anything big??

oh, one thing I DIDN"T miss? The sound of Sarah Palin's voice.

LOL, that totally sounds like something I would do!!! And since I don't get internet access at the hospital I work at :( , I always ask him to text me if anything "big" happens. Sadly, his definition of "big" differs from mine.
