Sarah Palin Linked Her Electoral Success to Prayer of Kenyan Witch Hunter (Muthee)

Says the Monitor, "Muthee held a crusade that 'brought about 200 people to Christ.'" They set up around-the-clock prayer intercession in the basement of a grocery store and eventually, says the pastor, "the demonic influence -- the 'principality' over Kiambu -- was broken," and Mama Jane fled the town.

According to accounts of the witch hunt that circulated on evangelical Web sites such as Prayer Links Ministries, after Muthee declared Mama Jane a witch, the townspeople became suspicious and began to turn on her, demanding that she be stoned. Public outrage eventually led the police to raid her home, where they fired gunshots, killing a pet python they believed to be a demon.

snip

It was during these sermons that Palin, who was then preparing for her gubernatorial run, was anointed by Muthee. His intercession, she says, was "awesome."

Her June 8 speech was to mark the graduation of students from the Wasilla Assembly of God's Masters' Commission, which, as Pastor Ed Kalins explains, believes Alaska will be the refuge for American evangelicals upon the coming "End of Days." After her speech, Palin was presented with an honorary Masters' Commission diploma.

One of the many sites tracking Palin's and other politicans connections with Dominionists and other Theocrats is Talk2Action http://www.talk2action.org I don't care for the thought of any person that seems to be gearing up for Armageddon (or at least create the Hell on Earth part of it in a cargocult sort of think that if they blow it up He will come).

Right up my alley.

More 15th century ideas for the 21st century.

2. People should read up on Palin and that guy.. Utterly FRIGHTENING.
This is not a thread anyone should bypass without reading about this person that Palin obviously admires!! He's been visiting to her church for a while, for at least 10 visits, and she credits his "laying on of hands" and praying for her, for her governship.

He is religiously insane, having chased a woman from her town in Kenya, because he riled up the people around her into thinking she's a witch -- and she had to leave or was going to be stoned.

What the fuck is the republican party thinking???

8. They are thinking the only votes we will get for sure is the super wealthy & the fundamentalists
They have been flirting with the Domionists, Reconstructionists, and other theocracy seekers for years now. They are getting bolder in their desperation to appeal to their base 1) The super wealthy & 2) Religious fundamentalists who want to return to the good ole days of stoning anyone who isn't part of their religion. Oh and those who break rules like women who commit unchastity before marriage. Or mouthy teens. Or astrologers. Or gay men, but lesbians might be OK because they haven't made up their mind since the bible only explicatly bans men having sex with men.

13. Reminder: Bishop Muthee is speaking at Wasilla Assembly of God this weekend.
According to the Wasilla Assembly of God website, Bishop Muthee will be giving sermons at the church this weekend starting today...

Perhaps Bishop Muthee is returning to Alaska to wage spiritual warfare against the Obama campaign.

14. Found: Audio of two weird sermons by Bishop Muthee...
Edited on Fri Sep-19-08 09:26 AM by The Night Owl
Audio of two sermons given by Bishop Muthee are available at the KingsGate Church website…

http://www.kingsgateuk.com/Articles/3516/Kingsgate_Community_Church/Resources/Teaching/Download_Sunday_Messages.aspx

What a voice! Anyway...

At about 23:45 of Service 1, Mr. Muthee declares that the more "violent" and "committed" believers become the quicker they will see things happen in their communities.

At about 16:30 of Service 2, Mr. Muthee recounts meeting a woman who told him that her prayers resurrected a dead child brought to some sort of prayer meeting in Bolivia. Muthee declares that he longs for such meetings.

Weird stuff.
