Privatize Profits and Socialize Risk
Edited on Tue Sep-16-08 09:51 PM by louis c
Here we go again. No regulations, do as you want banking industry. Big profits with tax breaks. Now, opps, we f*#ked up. Take the money from the people you screwed in the form of a taxpayer bailout. We get to buy the company when it's belly up, but God forbid we want a piece of the action if times are good, like the oil industry. Then we're socialists or worse, f*#king communists. But now, when bankruptcy looms, government ownership is just fine and dandy.......Assholes

2. It's getting late
as a matter of fact, I spent the evening dining with a labor, Democratic operative from East Providence. I told him what great ideas can be culled from this site.

He's a close friend of Sheldon Whitehouse and Patrick Kennedy.

Anyway, enough name dropping, I'm going to bed.

Night all.

4. I would love it if when Barack is prez
he says "that was them, it's over. Now this is the way it is

He could fill the positions with intelligent, creative, honorable people. I would love for him to make it illegal to charge over 12%.

It rips my sack to see the feds lower the interest rates down down down, and the credit card companies charging 39%. It is an absolutely immoral and corrupt industry, filled with oinkers that take glee in fucking the common man. I hate that they are getting bailed out.

5. That's the thing that really chaps my ass
corporate welfare is okay but the little guy is on his own. That's not only not in my definition of what it means to be American it's most certainly not consistent with so-called Christian values that the social conservatives claim to espouse.

7. Up early, working for Barack
as a volunteer. My job, well a small part of it, is to help the Dems carry New Hampshire. That's my closest swing state.

Our problem is my contemporaries in the rank and file. The union recognizes the we win or lose this election by convincing (or failing to convince) or members. Union leaders are out there doing their share, but it's not easy.

We encounter subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) racism.

the people that I am working with in this election know what's at stake, and we're confronting it head on.

wish us luck, we need it.

actually they privatize profit....sit on the fense about risk and wait...and IF and ONLY IF there is a loss..then they socialize it!! It infuriates me how brainwashed my repulican co-citizens are (I am a democrat living in macon ga..ouch)..they are always "outraged" about socialized healthcare but not a peep about socialized financial bail outs..these people are zombies
