The Media Is Mocking Us.
As the real devastation from Ike is leaked to us, and the financial empire crumbles, we are shown countless -- and I do mean countless -- clips of either SNL or SocioP at her rally. Norah and Rick grin maniacally saying "Have you seen this?" as it's shown for the umpteenth time.

Goddamn it! I want to strangle these assholes. Enough with the distraction and diversion. :argh:

1. They just did it again with Shuster.
They inserted a 15 second SNL clip into the middle of the story on the market crash.

2. They are all pretty horrible. I have turned the station more than
a few times today when these assholes start spinning crap to meet their own agenda's. Can't wait until Olbermann and Maddow to get some real information.

3. SNL Is NBC
they are highlighting the ratings they got - SNL staff has to be over the moon about that. Let it go, it will pass until next Sunday, Monday, Tuesday - when the new SNL Sarah skit airs over and over and over.

5. The hype included the "ratings"
and one news report said that "Tina Fey returning to portray Sarah Palin" bumped the ratings huge.

Not Michael Phelps. Not the season opening. Not the rumor that Barack Obama was making a cameo.

I wasn't paying attention. Was it actually announced that Tina Fey would appear at SNL's season opening show?

7. Oh, and how about a show that devotes weeks on end to the
disappearance of one toddler?

Yes, it's very sad about the little girl, but, jeezus, it's not like thousands of other kids don't go missing all the time. It's unbelievable to me that a supposed news network can devote hour after hour after hour after hour to one local crime story while ignoring the major issues of our time.
