Palin, the sheltered running mate, is taking small steps out of her campaign bubble

FORT WAINWRIGHT, Alaska - By BRETT J. BLACKLEDGE , Associated Press Sarah Palin is taking cautious steps out of the bubble she's been in since becoming John McCain's running mate. But not many steps yet.

The Alaska governor was sitting down Thursday for her first extended interview after days of preparation by the McCain campaign, before attending the deployment ceremony for an Army brigade being sent to Iraq later this month with her son Track among the soldiers off to the war.

A figure of intense national interest, the 44-year-old Palin has been limited to stages and stump speeches, with little spontaneous interaction with voters — a star on camera who has been sheltered from questioning to the point of appearing cosseted. Her interview with ABC's Charlie Gibson is the only one scheduled for her to date.

McCain campaign manager Rick Davis said earlier that Palin will do more interviews "when we think it's time and when she feels comfortable doing it," and asserted: "She's not scared to answer questions."

Palin has not done interviews since the first and only one she gave "People" magazine on the day McCain introduced the little-known Alaska governor as his vice presidential choice.

13. Matt Damon is correct: Palin is an "absurd" choice for a VP candidate.

18. She's absurd, BUT
if she keeps up with her "go to war with Russia" and Troopergate is not solved in her favor, AND the emails she is trying to suppress, citing Executive Privilege, but with the First Redneck cc'd on many of them, can they be released?

There is still so much she can be ripped apart for, regarding her abuses and the apparent ability to hold a grudge even better than Dumbya ("He tried to kill mah daddy!!!!!!!!11").

Matt's a good Democratic soldier, but I say keep Palin out there. As she stumbles through interviews, forgetting her trigger talking points, and in the Biden debate where she will get her beehive handed to her, I can almost see a Quayle moment of slack-jawed realization she's just been served.

The Freepers refuse to believe anything that may put anything but the angel spin on their small-town, Flo from Alice girl.

11. If she's not "scared to answer questions "...
...then why doesn't she? When asked about national security, she said the same thing McInsane said: "Energy" and the uttered some other babble. She also seems to think that because she can see Russia she has Foriegn Policy experience.

It's nothing but bizarre PSYCHOBABBLE from these people. :wtf:  :puke:
