NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guys received this e-mail from a family member who is a republican. She is blaming Clinton for her mother's manufacturing business going down south, however, i do know that Reagan economics had a lot to do with her mother's business failing. She insults Barack Obama also, but i want to put her in her place about Clinton and reagan.

Can someone give me some facts. PLLLLEEEASE!!
HERE IS HER E-MAIL!!

First of all, you cannot compare the Trujillo regime to Cuba. All Dominican were free to travel in and out of the country unlike Cuba.
Second, NAFTA did not start with Reagan. It was passed by the Democratic President Bill Clinton in 1993. See picture below. My mom's business went down the drain with Clinton. Her best years in business were during the Reagan Era.
Third, I think you should give Cuban's a little more credit to think they are that easily scared.
Fourth, we are spending so much money on this needed war on terrorism because Clinton had many opportunities to capture Bin Laden, but was too busy with Monica Luinsky. You can see for yourself at http://archive.newsmax.com/archives/articles/2001/12/5/... or at http://www.infowars.com/saved%20pages/Prior_Knowledge/C...
Fifth, Obama may not turn this country communist, but all he hasto do is support socialist laws as with taxes to turn this country semi communist. As for socializing healthcare, see what kind of health care you can receive then. Trust me, it won't be as good as you are getting now.
Lastly, I rather take my changes on a more experience, patriotic, honorable, and willing to cross party lines to get the best qualified people to run this country weather they are Republican, Democratic or Independent candidate than for someone who doesn't salute the American Flag, has a wife who for the first time in her life proud of this country (if you don't like US then get out and go to France) and has the same ideals as Rev. Jeremaih Wright. I am very scared to vote for someone who sat in a church for 20 years with his Pastor who married him, baptized his two daughters and was his mentor and as soon as things got tough, he turned his back on him for political gain. How do you know he will not turn his back on the American people? As you say, they both promise a lot and that is politics, but I rather take my chances on McCain. He is the better and more qualified candidate.

How's your son? Give him a big kiss for me.

Leyla

1. I'd give your son a kiss from her and send her back a picture of him

If they think newsmax and infowars are valid news sites to back up what they want to believe you aren't going to change anything.

4. Kee-ryst, but the stoooopid hurts.
"needed war on terrorism" because Dubya ignored direct information that Osama binInbedwithBush4eva was to strike in the US.

When a Rethuglican e-mail fails on so many spelling points, it really should become obvious that they have no idea about what they speak.

8. Clinton Was A Republican
Edited on Tue Sep-09-08 11:04 PM by MannyGoldstein
Sad to say, but his strategy was always to be only a teeny-tiny bit to the left of the official Republicans. Clinton was far to the right of most Republicans of the past 50 years. He was responsible for NAFTA, and even far worse, to China, so that his rich buddies and contributors could amass fantastic wealth.

(Other than that the email is nuts - I guess even a stopped watch is right twice a day.)

12. He is responsible for Nafta
because he signed it. But i am not as political savvy as all of you, actually, i am new on this arena, although a loyal reader of this site for many many years..I read somewhere he vetoed it twice and then signed it because the republican congress pressed him on this..

what's the story?

15. Clinton Championed NAFTA
And he rammed almost-free-trade-with-China down Congress's throats.

Clinton was no friend of the working person.

14. The thing I never get about this kind of "logic"
If the Clintons are soooooo powerful, shouldn't we already have the dreaded socialized medicine, women rounded up and forced to abort their casual pregnancies, and all be speaking French by now?

I am amazed at the power attributed to a select group of people without the resulting "effects" of said power being in evidence.

For years she has courted the Alaska Independence Party, which wants to split the state from the U.S.
Rosa Brooks
September 4, 2008

... Over the years, Palin has actively courted the Alaska Independence Party, or AIP, an organization that supports Alaskan secession from the U.S. To be clear, we're not necessarily talking about friendly secession either: As the AIP's founder, Joe Vogler, told an interviewer in 1991: "The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government. ... And I won't be buried under their damn flag" ...

The McCain campaign denies that Palin ever joined the AIP. But while it is in dispute whether she attended its 1994 convention, she did visit the 2000 one and addressed AIP conventions in 2006 and 2008. Her husband, Todd, was a registered AIP member from 1995 to 2002, and the AIP leadership certainly considers her one of their own.

Video footage shows AIP Vice Chairman Dexter Clark describing Palin at the 2007 North American Secessionist Convention as an "AIP member before she got the job as a mayor of a small town -- that was a nonpartisan job. But you get along to go along. She eventually joined the Republican Party, where she had all kinds of problems with their ethics, and well, I won't go into that." (No need to. The Alaska Legislature's ethics investigators are on the case.) Apparently with Palin in mind, Clark then went on to urge AIP members to "infiltrate" the major parties.

So what does Palin currently think of the AIP? Hard to know -- she's been keeping mum -- but this year she told AIP members: "I'm delighted to welcome you to the 2008 Alaska Independence Party Convention. ... Keep up the good work!" ...

These two cruise-ships full of German tourists could just as easily have been Russian troops.

Coast Guard will do the job, if it can get some extra help

Last summer, Barrow witnessed a surprise invasion of friendly foreigners. Four hundred German tourists, having made the Northwest Passage in a cruise ship, showed up. Local officials in Barrow didn't know they were coming. Neither did the Coast Guard.

Good thing they were friendly.

It's also a good thing the ship didn't need emergency help at sea. Good thing it didn't spill any oil.

In those emergencies, the Coast Guard would have had to respond from Kodiak, roughly 900 miles to the south. It would have taken Coast Guard crews most of a day just to get the necessary equipment and personnel up to Barrow. (The North Slope Borough has an impressive search and rescue operation, especially for a municipality of 6,750 people, but it can only do so much with one helicopter and small boats.)

17. NAFTA and GATT were the ideas of George H. W. Bush and Carla Hills.
Clinton inherited the legislation from those two when he took office in 1993. Sadly, he jumped in bed with McCain, Dole, Gingrich, and the other repukes to pass them against Democratic opposition. McCain has voted for every single job-killing trade deal and outsourcing plan introduced in congress.

18. tell leyla
yes, clinton signed nafta--big mistake. the republika congress pushed it through and they all clamored for the shit. clinton let them have it. (i don't know why).

resident dimwit was too busy planning to fuck over saddam to learn shit about bin laden--ask "leyla" who she thinks was in the white house (for the past 8 months) in september 2001.

regarding these "socialist" laws--ask her if she likes her food inspected, has she ever been on food stamps, or unemployment, or does she feel her drugs are safe, or the cars she buys and rides in are safe, has she ever attended a public school, or put her kid in public school? (she can go fuck herself with this "socialist" bullshit)

as far as taking chances on mccain--i'll say! ask her if she knows mccain is smearing obama for trying to protect children against child molesters--which would mean that mccain doesn't care if children safe from child predators. does she have a kid? does she give a shit about anyone else's kid?

oh, and then ask her what the fuck republikas have done exactly to protect our country from another attack (biological or chemical weapons included). ask her how safe our ports are now? ask her how often we screen the cargo on airplanes? ask her what the fuck the republikan administration has done to protect us besides listening in to our phone calls and taking off our shoes at the airport.

then ask her why republikias are such liars--why they are so full of shit--and what makes people so stupid and ignorant to believe all their crap?

then--before you sign off, maybe suggest that she keep her political views to herself when emailing you because you two might get along a lot better.

19. If the problem began with Clinton
then why during 6 years of Republicans in control of everything was nothing done to fix it? McCain is part of the problem, not part of the solution.
