Why do I feel like the Repthugs have played this perfectly themselves, doing the same with Caribou Barbie?

We are fucked......the American people, who'd probably vote for Cameron Diaz if she was thrown on either ticket, are just sucked up by celebrity.

1. The hypocrisy is limitless ...

... and much of it caught on video and the intertubes.

- Experience matters
- VP selection must be ready to take over from day one
- Campaigning against earmarks with VP candidate who had been on your "evil earmarks" list
- Campaigning on transparency, but blocks media access to VP candidate
- Campaigning on ethics reform, but immediately moved to obstruct ethics investigation in Alaska

3. Relax. People are neither as dumb as you fear, nor as

smart as you'd like. The whole celebrity thing will die down long before November. This is going to come down to the basics - the economy. And we have the edge there.
