I've often said the way a candidate runs a campaign is indicative of how they would operate if elected.
by now we've all had a chuckle over the goof-up on mccain's backdrop, railed against the staged video of the military, and screamed about the 9-11 footage, perhaps held our eyes in our heads over repub glee of caribou rubbing up against pipelines for warmth as if destroying our wilderness is a good thing and are still having a WTF moment regarding his pick of Palin...
When you take all these things into consideration - the goofs, the attempts at deceit, exploitation, the spin, and questions about judgement, it begins to look alot like the manipulation, politics of fear, and propaganda we've experienced over the past 8 years.
I received an email this morning from a friend of mine, by her own admission she is not into politics and was a "leaner" in that she wasn't sure if she was even going to bother to vote in november. She said she accidently 'stumbled' on the news story regarding the backdrop goof while channel surfing. The "goof" struck a cord - "...if he can't get something as simple as a backdrop right, what does that say about his competency to run a country?"
I sent her the stories regarding the staged military video, and caribou pipelines (

Taken individually, these seem like little things of no consequence - taken in a broader view it tells us what a mccain-palin adminsitration would be about - more of the same.
meanwhile - keep your eye on KBR/Halliburton stories - things are starting to break, and with any luck it will break big time over the next couple of weeks.
