The Avengers The Series
Edited on Wed Sep-03-08 09:35 AM by erpowers
What do DUer think about the British series The Avengers? I watched a few episodes before and liked the ones I watched. Also does anyone know what Netflix has a number of the 1060s editions of the series, but not the 1964 edition? It goes 62', 63', and then 65'. Does anyone know if there was a 1964 edition?

1. It was probably my favorite show at the time...
Mrs Peel (the Diana Rigg one) was a great character, as was John Steed with his sword umbajig.

2. Don't know if there was a '64 edition.
The show was great! I remember the first time I watched it with my dad. We were just flipping the channels and came across it, and were drawn in.

I always loved how Emma looked when she ran. I tried to emulate that. :7

3. I think The Avengers is a great series.
I remember watching it as a kid, and I liked it then as well.

I always thought the door latches were interesting, for some reason. And Diana Rigg was very cool: she wore cool clothes, had cool sports cars, and had a groovy pad.

It was on BBC America for a while, not sure if it's airing anywhere right now, but I'll have to check.

There's a great site online for The Avengers: http://theavengers.tv/forever/ It has every episode, where they were filmed, original air dates, etc.
