Ok ok, there are some issues that forget it, will not do a smidgen
let me mention them ok

She hunts and the family has a few ahem, trophies at home... SO WHAT? Hunting is a way to bring food to the table. it is a way of life in Alaska and some folks use the whole animal.. that includes the pelts and the heads... little meat there. So you get a pelt, and you get a trophy. If they ate the rest of the animal, ok... next... I eat meat every day... I just don't directly track, shoot, gut and prepare the animal... but I am still eating meat. Mine comes in saran wrap, or waxed paper if I bother going to the butcher.

Now a whole different matter is how she's running the department of wild life and going after bears and wolfs from choppers. That is separate and we go into POLICY... so get that through your heads... there are places in this country were hunting and fishing is a way to supplement incomes and the kitchen table. Alaska happens to be one of them. Hell, when we were there during the cruise we enjoyed a wonderful salmon, grilled up (and it was the type that is used for grilling, there are five types) Guess what? The salmon we ate that afternoon was fished that morning and it was very tasty. Oh and there is more, friends don't let friends eat farmed fish. It is a basis for the economy, to this day.

So if you are a city slicker and are horrified at this aspect... well just don't ask where your food came from. Having worked in a chicken coop I can tell you it is not the idyllic, chicken munching grubs on the ground with grains ok. You might even benefit from going on an actual trip to a working farm. And not the kind where animals are not in factory conditions either. That brings me to the aspect of how to change those conditions, but as of now, they are real... and they are not nice. In fact, shooting a moose that grew up in the wild might actually be more humane than my steak... ok.

Second issue... and this was to do with the extreme right... this but, but, but, she was pregnant and flew with her water's leaking is not going to go anywhere with that group. Now Alaska Airlines MIGHT have violated standing policy, but that is NOT going to resonate with that group. In fact, these two could be in front of national Teevee and eat a baby on it, and these folks would still vote for them. Yep, they are hypocrites, but they are also easily manipulated... so what? And the kid being pregnant will not resonate either. Now if she were a Dem... then it would for they would be heathens, but that is another matter as well.

This story matters to a few here... but its life span in the national media, if it even makes it there, will be measured in minutes.

So concentrate on ISSUES... ok... and the kind that will resonate.. oh and the hunting will not resonate in fly over country AT ALL

3. Someone being a hunter will never work against someone.
At least not in this country.

4. You get it and I get it, this is a non-starter
And I wish some folks understood this.

Hey, the way the economy is right now... been looking at getting some tackle and getting a fishing license.

Who knows? Might be able to get some fish for eating at home.

Just need to find if fish are safe to eat round these parts
