I have 2 questions I need answered because I must be missing something.

1-How does what John McCain did in relation to Gustav prove that he is fit to lead the nation?
Tweety acted like he had heroically rallied the Rethugs to run to NOLA and stick their fingers in holes in the levees.
I'm glad they are raising money for NOLA, but by that standard Jerry Lewis should be nominated.

2-Why should people be applauded and patted on the back for doing what they were supposed to?
The Rethug governors, Bush, Chertoff, FEMA, Nagin, etc. all act like they organized the Berlin airlift.
This is what they are paid to do. This is what they should have done for Katrina. I guess it takes death and
24/7 media coverage to get them to see the light of day. And sinking poll numbers.
I'm glad people were evacuated and precautions taken, but I'm not going to act like they deserved a medal.

What do you want to bet that Bush gives them some honor for this?????
