Rumor: Amy Goodman arrested in St Paul

It's now being reported that police arrested journalist Amy Goodman while she was covering the RNC for her show, "Democracy Now." The National Guard is also being mobilized and moving into the Twin Cities.

1. If true...we need to be very afraid. Our country has crossed a big line!

It's hard for me to believe this is all happening in Minneapolis. In general, Minnesota leans liberal (think Paul Wellstone). I guess their crazy governor wants to be VP after all! (Or hold some sort of cabinet position!)

Words fail me at this point. I simply can't believe I'm reading about these things happening in our country. This sounds so third world to me!

4. For what it's worth, I saw city and county council members fired on in Seattle

during the WTO. Rubber bullets. A number of council members were standing with protesters in a face off with the police. A friend of mine was right next to Republican King County Council member Brian Derdowski when they both got hit with rubber bullets.
