because he sure as heck shouldn't be suggesting in the intervening three years the homeland security folks, with the army corps of engineers and all of the privatized contracting dollars went to rebuilding and protecting the city.

15. It's unlikely to be physically as bad a hit as Katrina

Assuming it hits 50 miles west of NOLA, and comes in maybe cat 3, it won't be as bad for the city as Katrina, which was just a "perfect storm" in terms of how the water rose to break the levees.

If NOLA lucks out this time, and I sure hope it does, look for the Bush Administration and John McCain to take full credit for natural events.

16. Agreed but when you force millions of people to move from

Texas to Alabama, the least Chertoff et al should have ensured is that gas supplies would have been moving into those states in a hurry. Gas stations are already running out of supplies. People are going to be stranded on the highways.
