Most of the major players - Michelle, the Clintons, Biden, Gore, etc. - have all had really great things to say, things that need to be said over and over. I am looking forward to Obama's speech coming up.
One caveat. I wish they would slow down, use a little effective delivery. Over and over, they say such great things but rush through them and on to the next line without using pauses for emphasis or change in tone or volume for effectiveness. I imagine that they are trying to meet some deadline or someone has told them to hurry, but it is bad advice. They sound like good speeches being read.
Tonight in the impromptu Biden introduction to the citizen speakers, he slowed down. He was dramatic and let lines carry over into the audience's consciousness. His speech last night - and Clinton's and Gore's tonight - had so many wonderful points to be made, I would have loved them to linger over the ideas, let them resonate, and resound. Five more minutes to each speech wouldn't hurt. What's the rush?
Anyone else miss a slower and more deliberated delivery of all these great speeches?
